They suggest that people may be able to lessen the severity of their acne by increasing their intake of foods containing these vitamins. Talk to your doctor before taking vitamin A supplements.
Of note, administration of vitamins B2, B6, and B12 can make AAS-induced acne worse [3,20]. Anabolic-androgenic steroids are believed to promote acne by increasing skin surface lipids, the free fatty acid and cholesterol content of these lipids, and the density of P. acnes on the skin.
