Section 4.6. 2.1 of NFPA 14 restricts the maximum length of the included hose to 100 feet.
Standard fire hose reels are 36 metres in length and can provide a jet of water up to 10 meters. The 36M hose enables the user to fight a fire in various location of the site and the long water jet ensures a safe distance between the person using the hose reel and the fire.

45mm hose – at 23m in length this is the standard hose, commonly used in house fires.

Fire hose reels are located to provide a reasonably accessible and controlled supply of water to combat a potential fire risk. (3) A fire hose on a vessel less than 79 feet (24 meters) in length must be at least 5/8 inch (16 millimeters) nominal diameter, be of good commercial grade and be fitted with a nozzle of corrosion resistant material capable of providing a solid stream and a spray pattern.
There are three standard-sized hoselines that the fire service uses as a front line attack line: 1½, 1¾ and 2½ inch. The remaining situations might involve large master streams or deck guns. The key with selecting the correct size line is quite simply getting the right amount of water on the fire.
Fire hose weight is also a key consideration
A 1.5” hose is roughly the largest size that a single person can manage when the hose is fully charged, though a big, strong person might be able to handle 2”.
They're typically 35m long with a 25L/minute flow rate. They're permanently connected to the water supply and easy to operate by first responders or the general public.
Fire hose reels have been designed to provide a flow rate of 27 L/min for ¾” and 35 L/min for 1” at 0.2 Mpa. Fire provides a complete range of hose reels, which includes manual, automatic, swinging and fixed type in ¾” or 1” diameter.
Maximum working pressure usually 12 bar so test pressure is typically 18 bar. Flow test – The flow rate of the water delivered by the hose is tested with a flow meter to ensure that it delivers water at the required rate.
The control nozzle attached to the end of the hose enables the operator to control the direction and flow of water to the fire. Hose reels provided for firefighting purposes must not be used for cleaning purposes, this can lead to fines.
The standard length is 50 ft (15.24 m). Supply and relay hoses are large-diameter, fabric-covered, flexible hoses used to bring water from a distant hydrant to the fire pumper, or to relay water from one pumper to another over a long distance.

The standard for automotive fire apparatus requires pumpers to carry at least 15 feet of hose or 20 feet of hose. 1200 feet of 2 12 inch or larger hose.

Fire Hose and Nozzles: Fire hoses with a length of at least 10 meters are used in ships. The number and diameter of the hoses are determined by the classification society. The nozzle of diameters 12 m, 16 m and 19 m used on the ship are of dual-purpose types- Jet and spray mode.
1.1 The requirements concerning the number of hoses are specified in SOLAS Reg. II-2/10.2. 3.2. The regulations require the provision of one fire hose and nozzle for each hydrant in the ship, unless there is complete interchangeability of fire hose couplings and nozzles.
The difference between fire hydrants and a fire hose reels
If the building has internal fire hydrants, then fire hose reels are required. For any sole-occupancy unit, or fire compartment, greater than 500m2 fire hose reels are required, whether or not there are hydrants located internally.
The two types of air hose reels are storage and continuous flow. Storage reels store the house while it isn't in use, while continuous flow reels allow the usage of the hose when it is wound.

Maximum length for hose service test layout is 300 feet and all hose in a single layout must be of the same internal diameter and test pressure capacity.
