Tons of heat is lost as the cold from the earth sucks whatever warmth your walls and ceiling managed to trap. Insulating your shed floor is the answer. Insulating a shed floor is straightforward. Don't get distracted by all the fancy insulation products out there – keep it simple and you can do the job in an afternoon.
Insulating your ground floor is a great way to keep your property warm. Generally speaking, you only need to insulate the ground floor. If you're on an upper floor, you don't usually need to insulate your floor space.

Answer: Ideally a fibrous insulation such as mineral wool or sheep's wool performs best between timber because it will take up thermal movement and cut down air movement around the insulation. 'Thermal bypass' affects performance, so cutting out draughts is preferable.
Polyester and fiberglass are the cheapest insulation materials. They also act as acoustic barriers but are poor barriers to rising damp. I agree that as long as the insulation under the plywood is tight to the bottom of the plywood that laying additional insulation on top should be fine. The plywood should add a little insulating value itself.
Lay the insulation so that it overlaps a plywood seam. If the seam of the insulation and the plywood line up, it could create a weak area through which air could escape. Hold the insulation in place for several minutes, using a clamp, if possible. If the plywood is on the floor, lay bricks on top to help it adhere.
You can use fiberglass insulation for shed walls if you want the very best insulation for yours. Use a roll with a vapor barrier to control moisture. Cut to fit and press into place, then finish with plywood boards.
Your shed does not need moisture or vapor barrier unless you plan to heat or cool it. The plastic should be 6 mil poly, but 10 mil to 20 mil is better. If you heat your shed, the barrier goes on the inside of the wooden frame. If you cool your shed, the moisture barrier goes on the outside of the building.

For most heritage properties, the most effective and appropriate way to insulate a suspended floor and improve its airtightness is to retrofit insulation beneath the floorboards, between the supporting joists (figure 2).
Now, having said all that, the bad news is insulation alone probably won't make the floor itself noticeably warmer. The only way to do that is by adding an active floor heating system. You were on the right track by blowing warm air into the crawl space, but there's a much more efficient way of going about it.
To cover a shed floor, you can use paint, epoxy, or concrete sealer on concrete floors. The best options are wood stain and floor paint for sheds with plywood, OSB, or tongue and groove wood floors. Alternatively, you can cover either surface with interlocking tiles, rubber, cork, or carpet.

You don't need any special insulation, standard box store EPS or polyiso will work. I like polyiso as you get a bit more R value/inch. You do need a solid subfloor above, the 5mm luan is not enough. You need at least 5/8 T&G above it, you can then install any type of flooring on top of that.

We recommend a minimum thickness of 6mm on a concrete subfloor and 10mm on a wooden subfloor for floor stability. As wall tile backer boards, tiles can be fixed directly onto the surface without prior preparation.
Spray foam insulation does not allow for air movement and will not suck up the cold air from the crawlspace up into your floors. When applied to the rim joist, Spray foam provides an effective air barrier to prevent air leaks from seeping into your home and helps to better regulate home temperatures and efficiency.
One of the cheapest forms of shed insulation is bubble wrap. Air pockets will trap and slow down the transfer of heat. You can also buy foil-backed insulation bubble wrap for garden buildings. Otherwise, use a draught excluder and rugs and keep doors and windows shut when not in use.
Insulating the ground floor is the best way to stop impact noise from vibrating across the floor of the house. Loud footsteps in the kitchen can translate to reverberations in the living room if they're on the same floor. Insulating a ground floor also allows you to save heat.
