The scale dimension – dimension, regarded as the degree of freedom in the theory of Infinite Hierarchical Nesting of Matter, which characterizes the location of all known objects in the Universe at large-scale ladder of levels of matter.
Go to Dimension Style Manager by typing DIMSTYLE in the command line, or clicking on the dimension style icon. Select the dimension style you will be using, and click Modify. In the Fit tab, set the Dimension Scale to 1. In the Primary Units tab, set the Measurement Scale to 1.
It needs to be written Length X Width X Height. That is standard for measurements.
Creates multiple dimensions and types of dimensions with a single command. You can select objects or points on objects to dimension, and then click to place the dimension line. When you hover over an object, the DIM command automatically generates a preview of a suitable dimension type to use.
To open the Dimension Style Manager, Type D or DIMSTY on the command line or command prompt and press Enter.
Text in this context refers to all dimension text, prefixes and suffixes, primary and alternate units, and lateral tolerances. Geometric tolerances are controlled independently. Dimension text is treated as a single string of text, which you create and format using your text editor.
When you hover over an object for dimensioning, the DIMENSION (or DIM) command automatically previews a suitable dimension type to use. Select objects, lines, or points to dimension and click anywhere in the drawing area to draw the dimension. The available dimension types are: vertical linear.
Right-click a dimension on the drawing sheet and select Edit. In the Edit Dimension dialog box, click in the text box. Delete unwanted text and enter new text. In the Edit Dimension dialog box, edit the dimension text.
The Graphics' industry standard is width by height (width x height). Meaning that when you write your measurements, you write them from your point of view, beginning with the width. That's important.
Examples: width, depth and height are dimensions. A line has one dimension (1D), a square has two dimensions (2D), and a cube has three dimensions (3D).
Length, width, height, depth.
I found that the cause is the system variable dimassoc. If it is set to "1" it will give the dimension of distance on the paper, if set to "2" it will give the acutal model space dimension for the part.
You can draw dimensions in both paper space and model space. However, if the geometry you're dimensioning is in model space, it's better to draw dimensions in model space, because AutoCAD places the definition points in the space where the geometry is drawn.
