There is no need to transfer a subscription based license to a new machine. On the new PC log into your Autodesk Account , download and install the software, and activate the product the exact same way you would as if you were activating it for the first time.
With a subscription to AutoCAD LT software, you can install it on up to 3 computers or other devices. However, only the named user can sign in and use that software on a single computer at any given time. Please refer to the Software License Agreement (US Site) for more information.
The License Transfer Utility is used only with stand-alone licenses. It transfers a product license online from one computer to another, and ensures that the product works only on the computer that contains the license. A single license applies to all products in a product suite.
Uninstall the product on the computer from which you will are going to move the license.
- Choose "Deactivate the license on this computer" during the uninstallation.
- Install the product on another computer.
- Activate it.
If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard. If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.
On a computer with a retail license of Windows 10, you can transfer the product key to a new device. You only have to remove the license from the system, and then you can apply the same key on the new computer.
Sign in to Autodesk Account and click the Management tab. In the Products & Services section, locate your product. Expand the product details to find your serial number and product key.
Click your user account and select Manage License. In the License Manager window, click Change License Type for an active license. This command lets you choose an existing license or complete the licensing of a new one.

For example, installing AutoCAD 2021 as a single product requires product key 001M1, but installing AutoCAD 2021 from the AutoCAD Design Suite Premium 2021 requires product key 768M1.

When installing Windows 10, the digital license associates itself with your device's hardware. If you make significant hardware changes on your device, such as replacing your motherboard, Windows will no longer find a license that matches your device, and you'll need to reactivate Windows to get it up and running.
At the command prompt, enter the following command: slmgr. vbs /upk. This command uninstalls the product key, which frees the license for use elsewhere. You are now free to transfer your license to another computer.
The default Revit and Revit Content Libraries installation location is on C:\ drive, but if your system has multiple hard drives you can choose to install Revit or Revit Content Libraries on another drive.
