To complete the Creo Installation, you will need to:
- Download the Software Installer from our eSupport Portal at the PTC Software Download webpage.
- Download License Files, which are retrievable from the PTC Installation Assistant or PTC License Management Web tools via email request.

Provided that you have at least an NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i graphics card you can play the game. An Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU is required at a minimum to run Creo God Simulator. Creo God Simulator will run on PC system with Windows 7 SP1+ and upwards.
As per the PTC software compatibily matrices there is no support for Windows 11 yet. “Please hold back with the upgrade to Windows 11 until further notice.” Applicable Products: Creo.
Creo is much more stable and far superior to SolidWorks when it comes to top-down design and surfacing. Creo would also be a better choice for any project consisting of large assemblies. SolidWorks is primarily used for smaller scale and simpler design projects.
PTC Creo and Autodesk inventor have strong sheet metal modeling capabilities. PTC Creo allows engineers to modify features as they are being created. Users also have access to dynamic previews and editing tools. Autodesk Inventor also has advanced sheet metal tools for designing, visualizing, and documenting parts.
Integration and Compatibility: Creo Wins
CATIA plays well with other Dassault tools but sharing files with outside systems is clunky at best. Similarly, Creo integrates seamlessly with other PTC tools but also includes Unite Technology, a built-in integration and file sharing solution.
Run setup.exe. Do NOT use setup-schools.exe, this will cause errors. o Right-click setup.exe and select Run as administrator from the pop-up menu. 4. From the PTC Installation Assistant dialog box: • Select Install new software and click Next.
You can run the application using the Start menu. Click Programs > PTC Creo > PTC Creo View <release_number>. The first time you start the software, the PTC Creo View Startup dialog box opens. Instructions follow for setting the edition and license options.

Pro/ENGINEER is Now Creo. Pro/ENGINEER is now PTC Creo and it's changed more than just its name! Creo is a suite of solutions offering integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE software.
Steep learning curve: The number one complaint about Creo is how hard it is to learn. We definitely sympathize with that, as CAD software, in general, can be intimidating to beginners. It's definitely true that the more advanced the features, the less user-friendly the software becomes.
New subscriptions to Inventor LT are no longer available. As of November 7, 2020 Autodesk will no longer offer new subscriptions for Autodesk® Inventor LT™ and Autodesk® Inventor LT Suite. One-year subscription or maintenance renewal is available until May 7, 2021.
When it comes to comparing Creo vs AutoCAD, Creo comes out on top. When looking at basic functionality both solutions are comparable, but most organizations require the more advanced and industry-specific tools that Creo can provide. We will admit, as a PTC reseller, we are slightly biased towards PTC products.

When comparing quality of ongoing product support, reviewers felt that Fusion 360 is the preferred option. For feature updates and roadmaps, our reviewers preferred the direction of Fusion 360 over Creo Parametric.

If your team could benefit from the productivity improvements that PTC Creo 7 provides – we recommend upgrading. However, if you think you could benefit from increased productivity and speed to market then we think upgrading to PTC Creo 7 is the right choice.
